Winter NAMM 2015: A Look at Two Fender Ukes
Like most of the major guitar companies, Fender has a line of ukuleles, and these affordable instruments are a nice fit for newbies and youngsters. Over at the Fender booth during last month’s NAMM show, Danny Guion was kind enough to show us two of the company’s newest creations. The more traditional model of the two is the soprano-size, all-mahogany U’Uku. The other model, the Ukulele ’52, is based on the design of a 1952 Telecaster electric guitar, complete with cutaway, four-on-a-side tuners, and a spruce top with sunburst finish, plus a Fishman Kula pickup system.
