Learn Jake’s Triple-Strum Technique

In this video clip, Jake Shimabukuro demonstrates how to play a triple strum. It’s a fast, flashy strum, which he thoroughly and patiently breaks down into an easy-to-follow three-step motion. Jake originally filmed this lesson for D’Addario, the string and accessory company that’s endorsed him for a long time.

We’ve already watched it a few times and it’ll take plenty of practice to get a smooth and natural as Jake, but it’s so cool that it’ll all be worth it—even if we only get most of the way there.
