The adorable and durable Aqulele soprano uke is getting a big brother. Aqulele’s manufacturer, BugsGear, recently announced its plans to release a concert size version of the plastic ukulele in January 2015.
To pay for the initial molding cost and first batch production, BugsGear is fundraising on Indiegogo. Check out the prototype above, which has a slotted headstock, cutaway, one f-hole, and soundhole on the sideboard.
Since it launched in September 2014, Aqulele won over uke players with its sound quality, portability, and colorful, customizable options.
