Hey, fellow uke player! Did you know 99.9% of visitors to this site will scroll past this message without making a contribution? Many plan to pledge later, but then forget. So we're asking you to give just $2 (or whatever you can afford) right now.

For players not able to spend the money on one of Kanile’a‘s Hawaii-crafted ukuleles, the company developed the Islander line. Developed by Kanile’a’s Joe Souza, this line includes several features from the higher-end line, but in a more affordable import line made from different woods.

New for 2017:

The Islander AT-4 tenor and AC-4 concert Islanders now are available with a pickup. The electronics on these acacia-bodied ukuleles feature a built-in tuner, volume, and tone controls.

The concert and tenor models from the mahogany-body line, the MC-4 concert and MT-4 tenor Islanders received the same treatment.

Islander also updated it’s one of its top-sellers with a new glossy finish. The spalted maple series now has a glossy finish across the entire line, which includes a soprano, concert, tenor, and GL-6 guitarlele.

Finally, Islander upgraded its attractive and affordable Mini-Guitar line to include pickups.
