With his daughter Mariela in tow, Lil’ Rev will head out on his standard West Coast circuit, stopping at ukulele clubs and venues in Seattle and Bellingham, Washington; Hood River and Portland, Oregon; and, in California: San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Huntington Beach, Grass Valley, Modesto, and Sacramento. The tour will run through August 7.
“I want to share with your readers that my seven-year-old daughter and I will be embarking on our ‘Scatter the Ashes’ tour this summer,” he told Ukulele magazine. “My daughter and I will be honoring her wishes to be scattered on our famous West Coast run. Carol said that her days out on the road with us touring the ukulele circuit were some of the happiest days of her life, and she requested we scatter her ashes along that route.”
The tour will feature music from his latest album, Claw & Hammer, “a collection of old time country, folk and bluegrass based music for ukulele with a special emphasis on claw-hammer approaches,” he says.
