Paul McCartney Pays Tribute to George Harrison and the Ukulele on Current Tour

A highlight of Paul McCartney’s current world tour is a ukulele tribute delivered to former Beatles bandmate George Harrison.
“These days everyone is well into the ukulele,” McCartney told the adoring audience at his July 6 show in Albany, New York. “But George was a really good ukulele player and was doing it way before a lot of people.”

Before launching into a version of “Something,” McCartney has been showing off a Gibson ukulele that Harrison gave to him.
“Let’s hear it for the ukulele,” McCartney said in Albany.
Sir Paul, we’ll give a standing ovation to that!
