Hundreds of people turned on Saturday out for the fourth annual Ukulele Melee in Gardner, Massachusetts.

The one-day event was held at Mount Wachusett Community College, and drew performers such as Victoria Vox, who also lead workshops for players of all skill levels.

“We all have music in us and learning to play the ukulele was a quick way to get it out there for me,” Jeremiah Riordon, associate vice president of the college’s Lifelong Learning & Work Force Development division, told the Worcester Telegram and Gazette. “It’s kind of awkward to pull out a trumpet at a bonfire, but not a ukulele. I was completely hooked when I attended the first class here at the Mount, because by the end of that first class we all knew three songs.”
