A regular contributor to Ukulele magazine, Daniel Ho is one of Hawaiian music’s most knowledgeable and respected purveyors. Ho stopped by our booth to chat about his early musical memories and to show off a couple of new Ohana products. Ho discusses Ohana’s Bongolele, a spruce-topped, tenor-uke-shaped cajon that he helped design, and he also talks about the short-scale Ohana Bass Ukulele. Ho brought along his custom KoAloha uke as well, a gorgeous instrument with spruce top and Brazilian rosewood body, to perform the delicate fingerpicked instrumental he calls “Bicycle Holiday.”
