Ukulele hotshot, Taimane Gardner recently created an instructional video for her triplet-strumming technique. Now, she’s back with a new tutorial on triple PICKING. She mostly focuses on using a thumbpick (an extra-heavy Herco thumbpick, in this case), but also goes into using fingernails.

Triple-picking is a great skill to have at your fingertips, so to speak. Of course, it’s fantastic for things like the surf music classic that she plays in the intro, but it’s also a technique that you can work into many pieces, from learning classical ukulele pieces to jazz and rock soloing. In short, it’s a great tool to have in your right-hand toolkit.
