Cute Cartoon Animals? Stop Motion and Ukuleles? U900 Has it All!

The Japanese duo, U900, has suckered us in with their cuteness and awesome ukulele skills. Consisting of stop motion animated crocheted animals, the duo sing and play covers of classic songs like ‘Walk Don’t Run’ (above), ‘Twist and Shout’, and ‘I Want You Back’.

Aside from the obvious and overt ‘aw’ factor the two members, Kumano Kurere and Usagino U, have a true knack for beautiful playing. The two harmonize with gorgeous and melodic tones, taking their song covers to new heights; each is a unique and special version that has the stamp of their characteristic picking and strumming.
