Taimane Rips It Up on the North Shore

At a recent fundraiser for a music in schools program on Oahu’s North Shore, Taimane jammed with her band on a fantastic flamenco-tinged groove.

Together with Jazzy Jazz on guitar and  Jonathan Heraux on cajon, Taimane shows off some of her virtuosity on the ukulele.

For those of us who’re inspired to try playing like this, take a moment to just watch the her right hand. That speed that seems impossible comes from learning how to keep your wrist and arm loose. Work on that and you’re well on your way to flamenco-flavored flicks.
