Winter NAMM 2015: Larrivée Returns to the Ukulele

Back in the late 1990s, Jean Larrive?e and company produced a large number of ukuleles, but eventually, they moved out of that space in order to focus on other instruments. Today, with the resurgence in popularity of the ukulele (particularly higher-end models), Larrive?e has decided to re-enter the uke game, and the company unveiled its new, completely redesigned line at last month’s NAMM show. We were fortunate enough to spend some time with Jean at the Larrive?e booth, and he gave us a tour through the range of sizes and wood combinations. He also discussed a bit about bracing and let us peer into his CNC machine.
