Kala’s uke line is slimming down for summer.
The company has released two new cutaway ukuleles that make an already portable instrument that much more so.
In fact, the KASSTU-SMC-C concert size and the KA-SSTU-SMT-C tenor model are each less than two inches thick.
“The secret to Kala’s travel ukes is evident in the select solid spruce tops, precisely engineered arched backs, and in their thin bodies measuring 1 ¾” in depth,” Kala said in a press release.
The new ukes, which boast mahogany necks and rosewood fingerboards and bridges, retail for $429.99 for the concert model, and $459.99 for the tenor.
