Kala recently debuted a flashy new addition to its archtop ukulele line. Now available in metallic white, the Kala Archtop has a body with an arched spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The body is bound in a sweet contrasting “black oyster” binding and the f-holes in the top that recall archtop guitars and the violin family.

The Archtop also comes with Shadow Nanoflex electronics for plugging in. Street price is $299.

Kala also showed off a dozen new finishes for its popular Waterman series. These plastic ukes have really taken off in school programs and street for $39. Kala is now branding the Waterman series as the Kala Waterman.
